EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) is a way of working with people while validating the person and their desire for relationship. It helps the person see how they have learned to attach to important others in their lives, examining what has worked well and where they have gotten stuck. EFT is respectful and insightful at the same time. It can be used with individuals and with couples and families. My training in EFT has deepened my appreciation for how effective it can be, especially for couples.
